The following are terms and definitions used in this Standard. annual: a 12-month period in which an eventis to occur in the same month for each successive year. These attributes may be further grouped as requisites or prerequisites. competencymatrix: a document identifying a specific task or process and the elements ofthe competency requirements thatmustbe satisfiedbyanindividual. The specifictaskorprocess is undertakenbysomeone who meets thecompetency requirements.credentialed person: see credentialed personnel. credentialed personnel: (a) an individual having current documentary evidence of proven competency in a specific subject area, which is achievedviaattainmentofapost-secondarydegree,license,professionalregistration,orcertification.Credentialsmaybe gained in-house orvia a creditable recognized third party. Proven competencyis based on successfullypassinga compe- tency examination. This is a generic term used to establish a person’s function and may not necessarily be the actual title assigned by the Certificate Holder; this person’s title is established by the Certificate Holder and identified in its orga- nizational chart. qualitypersonnel: individuals who are employed bythe Certificate Holder and reportdirectly or indirectlyto the quality manager. qualityrequirements: documentation establishing the performance ofassurance and verification activities to ensure the product’s conformance with its original source specification.
